The Andes, their glaciers and moors are the source of numerous rivers that flow into the Pacific or the Amazon, through canyons and cascades as well as rich areas of cloud and rain forest. These rivers are the settings for all the trips with rapids of class III, IV and more, combined with visits to the forest. Our guides are all certified and use international standard approved equipment. We guarantee safety and fun in our trips.

Intag, located on the external western slopes of the Andes, which rise abruptly from the coastal plain, is the scene of one, two or three day rafting or combined mountain bike and raft adventures. The humidity that constantly ascends from the lowlands nurtures lush cloud forest with tall trees, exceptionally rich in epiphytes and mosses. The greatest diversity of orchids in the world occurs in the cloud forest of Ecuador, where many breathtaking varieties of all sizes and colours can be found.
The Rivers that are born high in the mountains of the Cotacachi Cayapas reserve and the Toisan mountain range flow down towards the coast through the sacred valley of Intag. The river Intag run, an exclusivity of our organization, is reachable in less than 2 hours from Otavalo and it has two sections: the upper section is class III and lower section class IV.

| River Jondachi and Hollin (III and IV) |
|
|
These rivers originate in the Sumaco Galeras national park and traverse a very pristine tropical forest and jungle. The upper section is class 3+ and 4. It is accessed from the route with a superb hike of 30 min into the Hollin gorge. The raft and equipment are transported by local porters. After 4 hours of rapids we camp. The river in the upper section is a spectacular canyon and the rapids follow very continuously so it is very technical and requires good maneuvering and paddle skills.
The section of the 2nd day is wider with big roller coaster waves and more powerful rapids. It is different than the day before since the Hollin River joins the Jondachi and the volume is now double. At the end of this run our car will be waiting and will transport us back to Tena.
There is an option of one day rafting from the city of Tena.

| River Jatun Yacu (class III and III+) |

It is a full adrenaline tour featuring waterfalls, lagoons, a long 25km stretch of big waves and big fun rafting in class 3 and 3+ rapids. This trip can be combined with jungle trips or hiking.
